According to the Japanese Wikipedia page on KitKat the Pocket size Strawberry KitKat was produced first in 1998.

As of 2021, there have been 35 different strawberry flavored KitKats, including several specific types of strawberry and strawberry + flavor variants.

The initial packaging I found used 苺 but most new packaging uses ストロベリー.
